Education Resources

Children's Rights Queensland is a longstanding advocacy organisation, founded in 1971, that promotes the rights, needs and achievements of children across Queensland.

It leads public awareness initiatives, resource distribution and education programs to ensure children’s voices are heard and their rights respected.

the challenge

Children’s Rights Queensland wanted to create a resource to help every child feel they belong, complementing their song “I Am Me” (recorded with First Nations musician Aunty Sharron Mirii Bell).

The purpose of the publication was to engage young listeners and their parents with messages of diversity, rights, and the importance of listening to children.

Our Solution

We created the book “I Am Me”, featuring beautiful, hand-drawn illustrations that bring the song’s lyrics to life.

Key messages were highlighted using our custom-designed ‘Typerighters’ font, and QR codes in the book linked to a music video, making it an interactive teaching resource.

We delivered an engaging educational resource designed to complement and extend the impact of the accompanying song. Featuring custom illustrations and a bespoke font, the book reinforced key messages through a visually cohesive and memorable design.

Interactive learning was further enabled through QR codes linking directly to a music video, creating a seamless multimedia experience. The project culminated in a successful launch at the Queensland State Library in September 2024, where it was met with strong enthusiasm and positive community response.
